By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms, designed to ensure clarity, innovation, and long-term partnership.
1. Services & Engagement
Black Pixel Studio provides a suite of digital engineering and creative services, including web development, cloud infrastructure, custom software, branding, and digital marketing.
- Project Scope: The specific deliverables, timelines, and technical requirements will be outlined in a tailored proposal provided to the client within three business days of the initial consultation.
- Service Tiers: Project costs are based on complexity and specific technical requirements, which are detailed in the individual project proposal.
- Professional Expertise: We leverage specialized frameworks and modern design aesthetics to deliver world-class digital assets.
2. Payment Terms
We believe in transparent billing and predictable financial planning for all professional client relationships.
- Payment Structure: Unless otherwise agreed upon in a milestone-based plan, we require a 60% first payment as a deposit at the start of the project and the remaining 40% final payment upon delivery.
- Accepted Methods: Payments are accepted via Local and International Bank Transfers, Mobile Money ( Telebirr, M-passa ), and Payoneer.com or Wise for international clients.
- Fixed-Price Proposals: We provide fixed-price proposals after the initial consultation to ensure financial predictability for our clients.
3. Timelines & Client Responsibilities
Efficiency is a core value, and we manage multiple client projects with strict adherence to deployment schedules.
- Standard Delivery: Business website projects typically take 3–5 weeks from kickoff to launch, while complex software or e-commerce projects take 6–12 weeks
- Client Cooperation: The client is responsible for providing necessary content, assets, and approvals in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
- Review Process: We follow a structured 5-stage process—Discovery, Design, Development, Review/QA, and Launch—requiring client check-ins at every stage.
4. Intellectual Property & Ownership
One of our primary commitments is the full transfer of value and professional assets to our clients.
- Total Transfer: Upon final payment, 100% of the code, designs, and digital assets created for the project are fully transferred to the client.
- No Vendor Lock-in: Black Pixel Studio does not retain ownership of your project assets after completion.
5. Support & Managed Services
We provide ongoing website maintenance and updates to ensure digital assets remain high-performing.
- Post-Launch Support: We offer monthly maintenance and support plans covering security updates, automated backups, performance monitoring, and technical support.
- Hosting & Domains: While we can manage hosting and .et domain registration under a support plan, these are third-party costs unless explicitly bundled in your service agreement.
6. Confidentiality & Partnership
- Non-Disclosure: Both parties agree to protect and keep confidential any proprietary business information or data shared during the engagement.
- Accountability: We take ownership of outcomes and deliver on commitments with consistency and care.
7. Governing Law
Black Pixel Studio is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
